BiographyEfren Esparza is a registered psychological associate currently pursuing his PsyD in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a first-generation Latino male, Efren’s passion for mental health was sparked during his time as a volunteer on a suicide hotline, where he discovered his strengths in active listening, empathy, and compassionate communication.
Efren’s clinical experience includes providing individual therapy on a weekly basis to a diverse range of clients, with a focus on underserved communities facing significant social and economic challenges. He integrates a variety of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
His growing interest in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment has led Efren to acquire an array of therapeutic techniques to support individuals coping with traumatic brain injuries, concussions, and other neurological conditions. An advocate for children and adolescents, Efren provides an array of support services, including evaluation and treatment services to struggle academically and emotionally

He thoughtfully tailors his therapeutic approach by taking into account each client’s cultural background, lived experiences, and interpersonal dynamics to provide effective, personalized care.
