Biography

After receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Diego State University, Julia has applied her professional skills across settings working in the public schools (elementary and middle school), in-home early intervention, multidisciplinary pediatric clinic, an out-patient clinic, and now with C4L (currently serving her 3rd year at SMES). Additionally, Julia has facilitated groups for adults with brain injury, teens working on social skills, and parents of young children looking to deepen their understanding of language development. During the past 15 years of professional experience, direct work with clients and supporting parents along their journey are equally fulfilling. Helping to facilitate relationships rooted in respect and empathy is important to Julia as she strives to support communication and confidence through engaging and compassionate evidence-based intervention.
